Welcome to the Dance Roads website, wherever you are in the world.
Dance Roads is an international partnership project dedicated to supporting innovative and established choreographers in their own country with opportunity to emerge onto the international stage. It aims to give selected artists from each partner country a wide platform in which to showcase their work and create and foster productive working relationships with artists and organisations from Wales, Canada, France, Italy and the Netherlands.
The initiative is jointly co-ordinated by each partner providing the network organisations with contact building opportunities with the wider community. Each network member hosts between two and three performance opportunities within their local community providing audiences with opportunity to view multiple choreographers’ works from different nations, and a variety of workshops for the wider dance community including pre and post show talks, ‘insight’ and networking events.
The network, Banc d’Essai Internationaux, was founded in 1990 by a worldwide group of dance organisations and is dedicated to the support of emerging, innovative young artists.
